MANCHESTER - Manchester City assistant manager Brian Kidd reveals that it takes time for his team to excel in the Champions League. This is because the Champions League is a competition that differs significantly from the Premier League.

Last season, people do not seem in the Champions League but failed to advance to the round of 16 since eliminated in the group stage. Kidd is a right-handed team coach Roberto Mancini has been the lack of experience competing in the Champions League.

"People should remember that last season was the first time in competition Champions League City and it takes time (to perform there)," said Kidd quoted in the Guardian on Thursday (5/24/2012) .

"The Champions League is a different situation with different ways to play and you have to grow there, but it takes time," he added.
